Alex Lee, MD, is an exceptional surgeon on the team of talented providers at Progressive Surgical Care in Manhasset Hills in New Hyde Park and the Lindenwood area in Howard Beach, New York. He specializes in general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery.
Dr. Lee graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, before completing his pre-med requirements as part of a post-bachelor’s program at Queens College in New York City. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine’s former location in Portsmouth, Dominica, in the West Indies, and finished his training as the chief resident in a general surgery residency at Northwell Health’s Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens, New York.
Dr. Lee is passionate about his field and has presented research on general surgery and robotic surgery. He’s dedicated to exploring the frontiers of surgical techniques to provide the safest and most effective surgical options for his patients. Following in the footsteps of Dr. Klein, he is becoming one of the most requested and “up-and-coming” robotic surgeons of New York State.
Outside of work, Dr. Lee enjoys photography and served as a photographer for his university’s tennis team during medical school.
